In another ‘matchup’ category, this Sunday Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen will face each other for the fourth time in the postseason. Only four other sets of quarterbacks have faced each other at least four times in the playoffs: Peyton Manning vs Tom Brady: 5 times (Manning won 3) Joe Flacco vs Tom Brady: 4 times (tied at 2) Ken Stabler vs Terry Bradshaw: 4 times (tied at 2) Brett Favre vs Steve Young: 4 times (Favre won 3) Mahomes has won the 3 previous meetings against Allen. ---

Yeah, the Snake soon had some knee operations but was pretty mobile when young. In college he rushed 265 times for 838 yards, 3.2 per carry but some of those were sacks (always classified as rushing plays by the NCAA). ---

That was Stabler’s only rushing attempt in the game. He was 6-12 passing for 57 yards. Lamonica was 6-18 for 45 yards. ---

He refused to sell the team for less than $6 billion which was a major sticking point and he was being a dick about it. It eventually sold for $6.05 billion but with the fine taken off of the top. The intentionally made the fine $60 million so he got $5.99 billion net. ---

I think a better strategy would have been “let’s play like we did against the Lions,” instead of “let’s play like the Lions.” ---

LOL, I was thinking almost the same thing. 😆 I was irritated on one play there during the last drive Washington had in the first half. They set up to snap the ball and one of the defenders rushed forward, shoved his hand into the center’s face, and poked his eye (before the ball was even snapped). That resulted in a five yard penalty. I didn’t know grabbing a guy’s facemask and poking his eye when he’s defenseless (setting up to snap the ball) was only worth five yards.
