There’s another big difference – playoff systems. To win the title in a European football league, you have to be the best over the course of a season. In a playoff system, you can win the title without being the best throughout the season. ---

True, but it’s not FA Cup style either; to make the playoffs you _typically_ have to be a pretty good team to begin with, although there are weird situations where one division or another may totally stink and the best team is barely over .500. ---

The only small criticism of the Spurs was that they never could never win 2 titles in a row. ---

The Spurs have done some amazing things over the last couple decades, but one thing that was brought to my attention recently is the thing I find most amazing. The Spurs are currently on a 19 season streak of winning **road** records. This is the most in NBA history. Second is 12 by the Laker in the 80’s and 90’s.
