The strain and tension of a headlong rush to war and a plummeting economy don’t seem to have made him noticably more wrinkled or grey-haired than he was in 2000. Can’t say the same for myself, certainly. ---

Yeah, but Oedipus was really an innocent victim of fate who married his mother and killed his father inadvertently. He was not actually a villain. IMO, Bush bears a semblance to Creon in _Antigone_. But I should say something nice about Bush, since that’s the point of this thread, so. . . President Bush is so mercifully free from the ravages of intelligence. ---

he seems to genuinely care for his family, and seems to have a good relationship w/his spouse, parents, siblings, and children. ---

He is very, very committed to his morality. He strikes me, in this stage of his life, as a virtuous man. I may not agree with his politics, but his personal morality now (ignoring transgressions in the past and just war theory) can be looked on as an example. ---
