The other night, I was wrestling around in the Jello-Pit and I started thinking about how lonely the holidays are. At my school, we have a Fall Carnival every year, and each class runs a booth to raise money. When I was in 8th grade, our booth was the marriage booth. People came, and we gave them a little certificate, two fake rings, and performed a little ceremony…and pronounced them man and wife. We always had a joke that we should have a divorce booth too, but I won’t be the one to start that. Here’s my plan: One person(male or female) can virtually propose to another person(male or female) in this thread, or elsewhere. After that, its simple. Email me, or post in this thread that you want to be married. And I’ll make a post,pronouncing you man and wife. Simple as that, you are virtually married. You can add into your sig: Virtual Husband/Wife of [SDMB Member Name]. Maybe this will work, maybe it won’t. Hopefully, it will be fun. ~Lisa ---

I’m glad you like the idea. You can marry as many people as you want. Same sex marriages are not only allowed, but encouraged, and yes, you can marry a minor. The only thing I ask is that the people getting married both consent to it. Any takers? ~Lisa ---
