While they looked pretty good in most of this year’s games, the Pats defense has really stepped up against two of the strongest offences in the league. It’s almost frightening to watch them dismantle two schemes that were so totally different. Wow. I truly did not expect this. Look out Iggles. The Pats are back! Even with that last TD, which happened as I was typing, I still think that Pat D is amazing. Can Pitt pull a 15 minute 15 point\* comeback? \*14 if going for overtime ---

It’s all my fault for the first half performance. I wasn’t drinking, at all. Half-time I started drinking - heavily. I busted open a new case of Yuengling and we’re coming back. If, big if, capital IF, we score on this drive and can stop the Pats on the next possession… I need another beer. ---

Well, it’s analysis time. This year we went 15-1. Any other season and a record like that would have made us shoe-ins for Super Bowl champs. But the one season we chose to go with that record just HAD to be a season where the soon-to-be-Dynasty Patriots were standing in our way. Will we every have an opportunity quite like this again? Bettis, who is the heart and soul of this team, may be playing his last game ever. I wanted a Super Bowl win more than anything in the world for him. There is a chance we will lose Plaxico, who gives us some semblence of a deep passing game. We are bound to lose 1 or 2 of our defensive guys to free agency.
