Example of current eBay Chinese seed scam. Your chances of getting seed that will grow the pictured (photoshopped) plant are zero. Note also the “similar items” that are also China-based scams.
That first picture is great, they didn’t even use a flower, they just colored the foliage.
Well, the bract (and not the flower) is the colorful element in a bougainvillea. There just aren’t any blue ones in existence.
Yep. I’ve been thinking of growing a wildflower meadow, but I’m going to wait and order from the RHS (Royal Horticultural Society) next year instead so that I know what I’m planting. I mean, the whole point of planting things is to try to make specific plants grow - if I just want weeds I’ll leave the garden to it. And that tends towards very low plant diversity.
FWIW if mint was one of the seeds included in many of the packets, that is invasive. You need to be careful where you plant it, or you’ll be walking past your flowerbed, and where whatever you wanted to grow should be growing is instead taken up by mint. And your neighbours’ gardens are also overrun by mint. It smells lovely, and can be used to make mint sauce or whatever, but most gardens need more than one plant.
