But the problem with Stirling writing the Mordor scenes is that he’d _like_ Mordor and cheat in the bad guy’s favor. 😃 Judging from Stirling’s posts on rec.arts.sf.written, the guy is an authoritarian-ophile. Kind of an anti-anarchist, so he’d be perfect for Sauron et al.

Alright. I’m really goin’ to Hell. I just got a mental image of a “slash” fiction story between Eustace and Reepicheep. That is _so_ wrong.

Blimey. I go away for a blessedly computer-free weekend, and, when I get back, we’re getting into Reepicheep-stuffing? (Safety tip: before introducing the rodent via the tube, make sure to remove its claws, teeth _and sword_. You know it makes sense.)

I must seek a more restful mental location. And I can think of few spots more tranquil than H.G. Eco’s _The Island of the Day Before Dr. Moreau_.
