# The Shaving Thread

In line with trying something new I ordered a [Parker shavette](https://www.fendrihan.ca/products/parker-sr1-barber-straight-razor) to try my hand a straight razor. I’ve shaved with an open blade but that was a knife I sharpened and wanted to see if I got it literally “razor sharp”. It was and I only nicked myself once or twice.
