And apparently a glitch too Cecil’s first task doesn’t end, at least for me. Says completed but no thumbs up. Grrrr. ---

I assume there has to be another character (e.g. Homer) free before it will happen. I also can’t assign Cecil another task, and clicking on him has no effect. ---

Much like Number One during the Stonecutters event, he assigns tasks for others to complete. ---

Got my 5-day Mystery Box and received the Blue-haired Lawyer (one of my fav characters). This, plus the tire fire from the second-previous 5-day box and a recent 200K win at the track means I’m enjoying my Tapped Out life very much, thank you. ---

Cecil is stuck on his 4 hour “make amends” task (Cecil’s Redemtion Part 1) Clicking the left side task icon finds him and says the task is completed, but like I said, no thumbs up. Tapping him in the game has no effect Both Homer and Lisa are clear right now. Bart and Dr Monroe are busy, maybe Bart needs to chime in? If so, I have 7 hours to kill now. ---

If you aren’t getting the thumbs up to complete Cecil’s task, then yes you have a glitch. Try turning it off and back on again. ---

How on earth do you get corn? I can’t upgrade the building without it and I don’t see anything that gets it. ---

They clearly must have changed something recently in the mystery box. My last two? 10 donuts and the lard land donut shop. These were the first two significan prizes given since I started playing the game. As to this new “event”, I don’t get it. Corn? You need billions of corn to do things, and I can’t seem to find it anywhere. I know some of the characters have activities that give corn, but the directions given in the game are terrible. I don’t eant to have to go to one of the fan sites that break everything out… Just give me the info I need to play, please. This was one of my major complaints with the Family Guy game… Events are so convoluted, you end up spending all sorts of time looking for answers. The confusion is designed to get people to spend money to buy clams. This seems to be a similar event in the Simpsons. Also, how do you get those green blobs? Or can you give them to neighbors? I visited everyone and got nothing but cash, which I don’t need. But most events have some sort of a neighbor component. I’ve looked and can’t find anything in the directions about how the green blobs appear, and if there is any benefit to visit your neighborss. I admit my eyesight is bad and I need reading glasses, but if there is a better explanation on this event hidden somewhere in the game, I sure haven’t found it yet. ---

Gah - Major glitch today. I went to purchase a Golden Scratch-R, and halfway through the purchase my game crashed. And kept crashing. Origins had to restore it to yesterday’s backup, and reset my event clock. I’m back to the beginning of the event. And the Scratch-R only had 12 donuts. _sigh_ ---

You have to play through the questline to unlock collection from neighbor towns. Don’t worry about crafting yet, just upgrade your building. Each level unlocks character quests for different categories of characters (“Make gluttons do something”). I don’t know if it’s the same for everybody, but I have what seems to be “make ‘idiot’ characters ‘give samples’ of 8 hours.” Homer, Cletus, etc. Then I leveled and got 16hr job for gluttons and 4hr for pessimists. Fertilizer and corn can be won by both. I find fertilizer is harder to get, at least initially. Otherwise just do all the daily tasks. Weird that Kirk doesn’t seem to have any quests, and especially that that sad sack isn’t a pessimist. ---

I think we all have different Cecil tasks. We coordinated too well for Stonecutters and Christmas, I think. I hope I finish Marvin’s tasks and my new Blue Haired lawyer stuff so I can stop being distracted. I forgot how hard it is to do level stuff at the beginning of an event. ---
