I assume you clicked on Nelson’s 16-hour task, which is a reference to the episode “Bart on the Road”. The quick version: thanks to a “take your child to work day” event where Bart is pawned off on Patty & Selma at the DMV, he gets a fake driver’s license, and along with Nelson, Milhouse, and Martin (and the $600 he made working with his father), rent a car and go on a road trip. In the glove compartment is one of those AAA-style tour books that mentions that there’s a World’s Fair in Knoxville, so they head there, only to discover that it was held in 1982, and the Sunsphere is now used as storage for a local wigmaker’s wigs. ---

I am familiar with the episode (one of my favs; Nelson sleep-drool on the road trip cracks me up), but it took me months to realize “Wod Fir” is a reference to the missing-letters sign of “World Fair”. ---

No, I quested my way to it. It’s regular Sideshow Bob. In fact I assume Captain Bob is just a costume for him? ---

I looked it up and it looks like I have a known glitch. The money mountain will also take 5.5M in money and approximately forever. At the end you get a skin for burns. Apparently they really wanted to keep burns occupied continuously even though he’s part of the Terwilliger job set. Hmmm. ---

There are two money pile glitches. One where you can’t throw money on it and one where it randomly levels up before it’s ready. I got both yesterday. There was just a patch, so maybe it’s fixed. They certainly didn’t fix the highlighting of the event tasks. ☹ So. tapped. Out. ---

Try storing the money pile and replacing it if it glitches? That fixed the Nightmare Pile not giving jobs for me. ---

Seems like maybe this Burns Burns Money thing is for the future where you’ve got money coming out your ass and nothing you want to buy.
