So I hit 10,000 GOO this morning and got the Gingerbread house. If I’m understanding it correctly, for every 2000 GOO I get from this point forward I’ll get 1 Donut. I think I’m going to stop vising other Springfields until the end of Halloween. By my math, I’ll end up with about 3-6 Donuts for about 6 hours worth of work. My tablet runs _really_ slow in other Springfields. Clicking on 5 Ghosts, Haunting 3 buildings and collecting everything takes between 30 seconds and a minute and it noticeably slows down\*. In fact, if there’s a lot going on in MY Springfield it runs slow, but it’s awful in the other ones. I get worried that I’m going to miss out on some other prize, but I think I’ll be okay. I still collect everything from my town. Anways, I just wanted to let everyone know that I’m still perfectly active, I’m just not going to go to everyone else’s towns until the end of the event unless I see some reason to. \*Pre-Halloween, I could enter a town, click three buildings and leave in a matter of 5 seconds or so. Where I used to be able to clear 30 friends in 5 minutes it’s now a 20-30 minute ordeal that I really don’t look forward to doing. In fact, I’ve broken it up so that I do some in the morning, some when I get home from work, some later that night… ---

Also, from what I’m reading it seems that you need to make sure that after you clear 2000 you have to go back to your Springfield to collect and that anything you collect after the 2000 doesn’t count until after you collect your donuts. That is, if you have 1950, and you go out to the other towns and collect 300 GOO, you’ll get your donuts but the extra 250 won’t count towards the next 2000 so make sure when you hit 2000 to go back home to get your donuts and then go back out. ---

This is what happened to me. I actually collect donuts at about 14,200 and 16, 200, etc. ---

I think that happens after the initial 10,000 too. I have 11,500ish, but the quest counter is at 1,400. ---

Is it me or has the community slowed down? I wouldn’t be surprised, since so many of us are hitting 10,000. I have slowed down quite a bit, only popping in to half my neighbors instead of all of them. What is the next prize? All I want is King Kong Homer, which is rumored…to only be a building with dead King Kong Homer at the base…and no quests or money earned. Not confirmed, though. ---

I have made it my focus to first visit towns with less than 10,000 goo and to only drop goblins in those towns too. I try to get to the other towns if I can, but I don’t always hit everyone like I used to. If someone can help me figure out how to remove people from my list I will gladly add more SDMB folks. I have an android and I followed instructions that I saw to block users in Origin but that doesn’t seem to be working. Is that old information? ---

Just like when you level up, if you get one you have the chance to try for more if you pay 50,000. So you either get three right away or you pay until you get three. ---
