I know this is all speculation, but IMO a live-action Simpsons would be a Very Bad Idea. That said, Anthony Hopkins for Mr. Burns, and Jerry Stiller for Grampa Simpson. ---

yeah, tons of speculation on homer. we had thought of john goodman over here, but he’s already got the fred flintstone thing on him. goodman is out. i DO like me an anthony hopkins of a christopher walken for mr. burns. have we no responses to ed o’neill? i haven’t seen anyone bring up the lisa/marge/barney trivumnirate. that should be a good one. ---

[IMDb’s Simpsons trivia section says the cast members are each signed for three movies.] I think they started saying “we’ll do a movie when the show ends” years and years ago, never expecting the show to run for as long as it has. If the SNPP site is right, they’ve got at least one more year left. ---
