Tonight I made a “Sim enemy”. I have a couple with 100 relationship points, and I started having another woman come over. She and the husband got pretty chummy (60 pts) and the original woman got so pissed off she slapped her and kicked her out of the house! I just invited her back over, so we’ll see what happens. Too bad they don’t kill each other…hmmmmmmmmm
Anyway, what’s up with the “Woody Woodpecker” sound? I hear it when something bad is happening, like jealousy. Anyone else get this? I recently downloaded a “voice” package. Is it part of the original game? I don’t remember it before.
Zette, yeah, that noise indicates jealousy. If you and someone who is in love with you are both in the same room, and you’re interacting with another friend (no matter what your relationship is like with the friend), if you do anything touchy-feely with them (hugs, kisses, dancing, etc.) then your Sim’s lover will get very jealous and his/her immediate impulse will be to go over and slap the friend! Same thing goes if the friend’s lover is present as well.
If you people want marble tiles I have them. Yea, the ability to waste hours paging through the sims resource. Hmmm…toys…I have the nice countertops in four colors (blue, green, monotone black and the original)
I like skins. I love my fairy wing skins and the long haired heads. (This is only largely related to the fact that I have long hair.)
Sim fights are fun. I’m preparing my barbarian to beat the crud out of the nerdy business man down the street. (We are sick, sick people… at least I am.)
If you really want to have some sick, sad fun with your sims, try this.

[li]Download the Sims Teleporter from one of the many websites that stock sim objects.[/li][li]Make a stockade with one of the fence tools under build mode (the wrought iron fence is my favorite for this.) Place the teleporter inside the stockade.[/li][li]Go to the “Create a Family” screen. Make a several families of 8 people. Don’t worry too much about their personality points. They won’t be needing them. Give the families fun names like “Toast” or “Deadmeat”.[/li][li]Go back to the lot where you built your stockade. Teleport the “Toast” and “Deadmeat” families into the stockade. Sell the telporter.[/li][li]Wait.[/li]
In less than a SimWeek, you’ll have enough ghosts on the lot to terrify your sims several times a night.
I recommend adding several child sims into the fray. They have the more entertaining death throes than the grownups.
I don’t know if I am more bothered by the fact that someone thought of that trick Juniper, or that I am going to go do it. Sigh.
Perfect people is another one. Create people with no personality points. Have them make potions until they get a yellow one. Yellow potions invert personality stats. Ergo, perfect people.
Its all there, cheats, clothes, floors, stuff, programs. Everything. Be patient, because it is a huge place.
With Livin’ Large you can have five neighbourhoods. I have a ritzy (read cheat my butt off)one, a no cheating allowed one, a ‘toy’ one, a ‘I have planned every action that will ever occur’ one, and a ‘fashion sense to bring on the wrath of God’ one. Ohhhh some things can be so tacky they cause pain. I like it.
MY Sims, when I finally get it…I WANT IT…will lie around their gorgeous home wearing Evening gowns.
They will invite over their hot young male love slaves and drown their rival females in the swimming pool.
My BF downloaded something called The Sim Edit Upgrade.
It allows you to control EVERYTHING with your Sims. You can edit personality points, relationship points, career points and performance, even the number of ghosts you have!!
For some reason, it only works on neighborhood 1, so you’re back to the old ways in your other neighborhoods. I gave everyone in my neighborhood the highest cooking points, just cause making them read is boring and I was sick of all thier fires. But they’re going to earn all their other points. It was easy to change their clothes too.
Check it out. Be strong.
I’m currently working on my Apple Pie American Dream House…but I can’t get enough sunlight in it and too many windows messes with the design I have in mind. sigh…Oh, and I finished my Castle finally. Stained glass windows rule.
The people on the Sims message boards have a lot of unusual and disgusting methods of killing off Sims. If you want to kill a bunch of Sims quickly, the fastest way to do it is to make a swimming pool (doesn’t have to be big), get all the Sims to go swimming, and then go into the house edit screen and delete the ladder. The Sims are stuck swimming around, and when their energy bars drop to nil they drown.
I’ve hardly had a chance to play, though. I installed it yesterday on my laptop (which I’m having trouble with) and it installed, but would not run. It would start, then suddenly just close itself. Bummer!
So, I scan disked and defraged, uninstalled both Sims games, then reinstalled them both. Seems to work fine now! Too bad I’m at work. I wanna Sim!
The parts I got to check out:
The vibrating bed
The crystal ball
The inept genie
Some of the new things to buy, like the rugs, etc.
All in all, it’s a really worthwhile upgrade. I shall have BIG fun playing after work tonight.
My favorite cheat is the money one- rosebud.
Once we get some cool families and houses built, is anyone interested in trading? Seems like we could use the teleporter to check out each others handywork.

Let me know when you teleport your families…I don’t know if I will teleport mine because I use tons of custom walls and floors which means a long upload and download time for me and others.
Watch out for that genie, he’s given me fires and ruined my perfect gardens.
I must confess, I, too, have drowned a Sim. Hee Hee.
That reminds me. I’ve tried and tried to get them to brawl like they do in the beginning animation (seen before the game loads). You know where they fight and it turns into a cartoon ball of smoke and flying limbs? Has anyone seen that happen in thier game? I’ve only exchanged slaps and then someone cries (wussies) and that’s it. What’s the most violent thing your Sims have done?
You have to have them hate each other A LOT- try jealousy. Then start antagonizing one another- slapping, etc. Eventually it turns into a bru-ha-ha. I just downloaded a SHITLOAD of stuff off that Sims site you gave the link for, Estrella. Awesome!
I can’t find the fall trees, though. I’d like to do a house up in “seasonal” decorations.

For the love of God please let this thread die!!! I have managed to read this thread a few times and ward off the evil SimDemons beckoning me to my computer to play. If this thread sticks around much longer, I don’t think I’ll be able to hold off! I don’t want to go buy the expansion… but damnit if I haven’t already planned to stop at the mall after work! I hate you all!

I’m still having some technical difficulties. I have it narrowed down, though. If I’m creating a new family and browsing the mens skins, the game shuts down completely and quickly to the desktop. It doesn’t happen when I’m configuring women, and if I just choose the default guy, I can proceed and do his personality stuff. I must have a bad file somewhere, but I’ve yet to identify it.
Anyway, I just discovered my problem and temp solution, so I’m back to playing. BWWWAAHAAAAA! I love this game!
How do I get rid of the “tragic clown”? He’s making me crazy- he won’t let me sleep or anything. I took down the picture, but he’s still here. Help me!!!
