When you consider the bloody carnage inflicted upon innocent people throughout history by men anxious about their manhood, I think I might find the company of some twit with a fascination for cartoon characters rather soothing. I have become convinced that we should just step aside and let the soft guys with the wobbly bits run things. Maybe they won’t do better, but they could hardly do worse. Plus, we’ll have more time for fishing and video games. ---

And there are plenty of liberals both in real life and here on the SDMB that though that bullshit blocking of highways and violence to keep Trump people from attending a Trump rally was all funny and shit. Guess what. You wanna piss the ever living fuck out a conservative redneck of the type that miight vote for Trump. Try to keep him or her from doing something they want to do. Even better, try to keep them from doing something they are pretty sure they have a right to do. You folks that hated Trump so much you thought that blockade/“rally” disruption stuff was funny may well have motivated just enough “FUCK YOU” Trump supporters to get off their asses and vote. And many of those protesters have jobs of their own. I find it funny, though, that the heavily Trump counties in Kentucky are now filled with people who are amazed that he’s gonna take their insurance away. Even though he said he would. ---

What my friend doesn’t realize is that all of that takes funding. To get a program funded, Trump’s going to need congress to authorize moving funds from one program (read: congressional district) to another program (read: congressional district). Voting to give up those fed bucks will be the kiss of death for the congresscritter who’s up for reelection two years before El Chito. ---

Didja see that “Town hall” thing with Bernie and Trump voters? It was a lot more insightful than I expected, they gave him more respectful attention than I would have thought. But that was a theme that surfaced several times, they don’t seem to believe he means it. They seem to think that responsible and sensible Republicans will stop him. Bless their hearts, they mean well.
