I’ve a friend from Wales who’s convinced congress won’t do a blame thing to prevent Trump from putting in place all the programs the orange one wishes. What my friend doesn’t realize is that all of that takes funding. To get a program funded, Trump’s going to need congress to authorize moving funds from one program (read: congressional district) to another program (read: congressional district). Voting to give up those fed bucks will be the kiss of death for the congresscritter who’s up for reelection two years before El Chito.
Didja see that “Town hall” thing with Bernie and Trump voters? It was a lot more insightful than I expected, they gave him more respectful attention than I would have thought. But that was a theme that surfaced several times, they don’t seem to believe he means it. They seem to think that responsible and sensible Republicans will stop him.
