So, that’s it. This particular clusterfuck is off the front page and no one will be investigated, let alone prosecuted for: 1. Using an insecure channel to discuss secret battle plans 2. Revealing those secret battle plans to someone without clearance 3. Putting American soldiers at risk for revealing those plans 4. Violating record retention laws by using Signal and setting the messages to self-destruct after one week. Absolutely nothing is going to happen to anyone, unless Waltz decides to fall on his sword for the specific crime of getting caught. I’m sure this administration will continue to use Signal, continue to regularly delete their tracks, continue to have extremely lax security practices, and so on. ---
