I am slighty ashamed to admit that I have been that person who put the dollar in a homeless guys cup of coffee. To be fair, the guy was begging outside of the coffee shop, and I thought it was his collection cup. I didn’t realize that it wasn’t until heard the coins splash in the coffee. I was so embarassed that I just pretended I didn’t notice and kept walking. I was younger and these days I probably would have bought him a new cup, but I was much less confrontational then. Oh Well, I consider it a lesson learned and usually just put the money in their hands now. ---
