It is raining on the Little League parade. ☹ My librarian friend just called and asked me if I was responsible for the rain, since I was hacked the Snakes didn’t get a parade when they won the league championship season before last. I had to assure her I had nothing to do with it - I would happily rain all over City Council, but these kids “done good” and I’m proud of them. Not proud enough to go see a parade in the rain, however. Went and got all the copies made I needed for the Booster Club meeting tomorrow night. Bylaws and membership applications. Coach is coming to the meeting to explain the do’s and especially the don’t of the Host Family program - i.e. - no, it’s not a dating service for your unwed mother of two daughter. Some people. I only like okra fried or pickled. I hate boiled okra - ewww, slimey! And I hate picking it - it makes me itch. Grits are good, especially with scrambled eggs 'n cheese. I see a trip to Waffle House in my near future… ---

The _absolute_ southern breakfast INMNSHO is bacon, eggs and grits all mixed up together. MMMMM… crisp crumbly bacon all over the top of eggs and grits… wonder if I can talk ACBG into breakfast at the Waffle House in the morning. MMMMMMM… ---

**Rosie,** my daughter is interested in pursuing a career as a psychologist. Hopefully, she’ll stick with it. She may change her mind, but that’s to be expected at her age. Or, she may surprise me and stick to her guns on this one. The important thing is that she is taking all the right classes right now and has geared her whole high school career this way. She doesn’t actually need any more math credits, but plans on taking more math, even next year. It will very interesting to see how all of this goes. ---

no no no - it’s Sex Chocolate [del]Ben and Jerry’s New York Super Chunk Fudge[/del] cheescake [del]a well made Cosmopolitan[/del] sambuca with coffee beans tomatoes and okra (excuse me while I vomit) and grits don’t even make the list. apparently I have never had good grits–cause they’ve always been, well–gritty. the sex and the chocolate trade places upon occasion. (oh, and I didn’t understand **Rifty’s** first pun. At all) off to class. Imma learning about the Puritans tonoc and their version of kid lit–Ha! (something about the Puritans makes me want to do skanky things–but I won’t. At least not in class!) ---

Chocolate is pretty much at the top of any list I’m making… Not a big grits or okra fan, but I don’t hate them either. I’m continuing to clean in preparation for company. Faraway Best Friend called this morning to confirm that I was expecting them on Monday. I was about to call her mother to see if she and family had actually arrived. Sounds like **TatersDaughter** is taking all the right classes to be able to be flexibly in the future. Taking as much math, science and English as humanly possible is always a good idea. I always wish I’d taken Calculus…still mean to get back to that. Missed out on Anatomy and Physiology, too, which I think I would have liked. Well, gotta go clean stuff. Just bought a new showerhead that I hope will work out better than the current one. Ate chicken quesadillas for dinner. Gotta clean the fridge later, too, as tomorrow is trash day. Back later if I get enough done. GT ---

It’s mixed good and bad. It’s from a crazy insane old friend who decided a few months ago that he was in love with me, and then proceeded to try to get me to move in with him by various stratagems. Then he got really mad at me because of some decisions I’d made, was horrible to me, and I decided not to talk to him anymore. Then I got this letter, which was one long apology. And now I have torn it into many tiny pieces and stuffed them into the trash, then placed something wet and icky on top of them. ---
