Thanks, **phoukaroo** , you made me laugh. That’s what was funny, I wasn’t even complaining. At that point in the conversation I was saying something about that even though this awful thing happened that some good things have happened since. 😕
Oh well.
I have been feeling pretty low the last week or so. I’m sure it’s probably just the change of season, but that doesn’t make it suck any less. I actually called my therapist and left a message this afternoon to see if he has any thoughts on the subject. Twice in the last week I’ve started crying while in the pool and I’ve managed not to start crying in other places. :dubious:
Ok, home from school now, on to homework.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. _YAWN_ 'Tis 55 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of _only_ 68 after a high of 80 yestiddy. Go figure. This is Fall in south Jawja.

Good morning! It’s Wanda’s first full day home alone. We rigged up a little pen for her with her crate, some water, and a litter box - she and her sisters were litter-trained! We shall see how it goes. Saturday and Sunday nights, there was much barking and whining at bedtime - she doesn’t like the crate. Last night, she was done barking and whining in about 10 minutes. So yay for that. With luck, we can train her like Cozmo and she’ll actually like her crate…
Raining morning here, but it should pass by afternoon. Chilly, too, after hitting the 70s yesterday, we’re in the 40s now. ugh.
\*\*Spidey \*\*- love the shirt!
I talked to my mom yesterday and I’ll be doing pies for Thanksgiving- pumpkin for sure, and daughter requested custard. I may also do a cake to use up the mix in the pantry. \*\*FCD \*\*is pre-diabetic, so I need to purge certain items from my stock, alas. Gotta cook all healthy and stuff now.
Other than that, another grand and glorious day in paradise. Things to do, people to annoy!

My Dad called the [giant gourami](http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-RheY1Ea2gWU/TyisI21ACPI/AAAAAAAAAP8/v8KPZHL0uyE/s1600/Giant+gourami+-+Osphronemus+goramy+image.png) I gave him Wanda, if that helps. T’will probably turn out to be a male, of course, still too little to tell. I wants a tank big enough to keep one of them; not likely to happen soon though, unless I find myself a sugar daddy 😃
I need to go out and do gardening type stuff today, but it’s grey, squelchy and horrid out there, so I don’t want to. It’ll be dark in a few hours, so not much procrastinating time left…

Thanks for the kind welcome, folks! I guess **Thorny** has the most votes (Nessie’s Aunt, Goathead?), and I’m happy with that. However, **FairyChatMom** holds exclusive rights to call me **Nettle** at her discretion henceforth (not that she needs my permission anyway ;). Also, while I’m all parenthetical, the pup called Wanda seems fine to me).
Irking now, performance review time :rolleyes:. No purtification necessary at least; irking at the humble abode today 😃
Oh yeah, great topic for the MMP, **Pearl**. I’m getting some great ideas for books to read to the kiddo.

Hello all,
Felt the overwhelming need to break my lurkdom-ness and say hello (twice). Avid reader growing up. Now my mom says she regrets teaching me to read so early cause I always had my nose in a book. I lurved Hardy Boys, The Never Ending Story, Dragon Riders of Pern, Good Night Moon, Richard Scary’s books and many more.
Hope your Tuesday is more intersting than mine. Bored at work for 10 hrs. Bleh!

So, **Nettle** , what is your work-at-home attire? Jammies? Sweats? Thong and a tube top?? I’m partial to robe and fuzzy slippers, but I don’t work at home and this office gets all wound up if you show up in blue jeans, so I can imagine how a robe and slippers would go over… 😃
Lunch time! Turkey and provolone on whole wheat, with a side of cucumbers. I wish I’d remembered to toss a few pretzels in a baggie - maybe there are some in the machine downstairs. Must check later.
I’ve had a productive morning so far. I organized the piles of stuff on my desk, got a couple of inboxes ordered, tossed stuff I didn’t need, and found several errors on a drawing that allegedly was done and approved. Plus I made a nameplate for my cubicle, so now everyone knows who sits here. 😃
It’s still rainy and dreary. This would have been a good day to stay in bed and be a slug. Sometimes it sucks to be a responsible adult.
Welcome, **Jynx**! I hope you brought treats for everyone. That’s an unofficial rule. The only official rule is that you must send me chocolate love offerings. \*\*swampy \*\*and \*\*doggio \*\*think they should get beer, but they’re not nearly as important as I am. 😉

I’ve decided that if I could work at home, I would wear fleece jammies allll day loooooong. Might even get some teddy bear slippers to go with!
But that’s not my fate, so I am shipping all my winter clothes up to Idaho, and shall join them in a couple weeks. Hopefully they still fit by then; we are eating our way through our pantry, lol! Oh, and MrTao keeps bringing home Lindor balls, grrr. At least this time he had the sense to put them in the fridge and not tell me about them. Last time, he just put them on my desk, which was a HUUUUGE mistake. 😛
I am up, but not caffeinated. Baken-ets for breakfast, I think. oooh, wait…posole!!
I shall return.

**Thorny** I have the opportunity to irk from home as well when I want. Some things require me to be in an actual orifice but a lot of what I can do, I can do anywhere thanks to the magic of laptops and teh intartoobz.
Welcome **Jynx**! As far as sendin’ chawklit to **MOOOOOOM** , well, she’s an old broad, so really she prefers hard candy. Not the small ones though cause she might choke on those.
I have fried chikin, peas and butterbeans and smashed **N.O.T.** for **N.O.L.** today. Leftovers from dindin. YAY!!! Let’s eat!
