I cruised the thread by RosieWolf, and noticed this post by **Dinsdale** in October 2000: \* While I would prefer that no one ever be killed or injured as the result of this type of violence, I am quite relieved that, in this instance, the target of terrorism was a military target, on alert status, in the Middle East instead of, say, the World Trade Towers, or a Carnival cruise ship in the Caribbean. Whence came the impression that service in our armed forces should be a risk-free occupation?\* That was a bit strange. ---

Okay, here’s an original one then: I THINK his name was Phaderus or something like that. OH MAN. I don’t know if any of his topics still exist. I’m not thinking so, since they would be back in 1999, but when I first came here, I read most all the large topics (especailly in the Pit) from when the board first began. And he was nuts. I mean really, really nuts (or a really good troll). He was strongly believed to have a sock (I forget the name of it) that apparently was a person who worked for the CIA and was a top secret agent who–among other things–had a keyboard that could **only type in capital letters.** Or so he claimed. So much of his topics and posts consisted of: ‘THE GOVERNMENT IS WATCHING US RIGHT NOW’ Totally serious. I wish those topics still existed because it’s hard to believe just hearing about it. They (TPTB) seemed to let a lot more stuff fly back then. I can’t see anyone like him lasting as long as he did back them THESE days. Oh, and then there was a guy who made a pit thread about how popular dogs are on a menu. I thought he was a total troll at first…but later on I started to change my mind. He became a pretty good poster. But yeah, dogs on a menu? What a topic. 😉 ---

Okay, sorry for the quad posts…but here’s a few links I finally found. Here’s one no one else will post, probably because it’s so inane: I remember someone once posted “A new Hungry Howie’s opened up in our town, are they any good?” I couldn’t believe how many posts it took before someone finally said “Dude, it’s like $10, just go get a pizza and find out!” I just thought it odd and surreal that we now depend on the internet soooo much we can’t even decide to try a cheap pizza anymore without consulting it, lol. ---
