Actor/Actress Singer/Entertainer I nominate Whitney Houston. OK, standing by your man, is good and it should be done, but Bobby Brown has done nothing but bring her down. She had a good voice and look, and had a good career going - singing/acting in movies, etc., but her career is ruined. He keeps getting arrested for probation/parole violations or for drugs or alcohol and driving. In today’s news it said she gave the officer’s arresting BB yesterday a Yelling and Waved her finger at them. Whitney can you be any Stupider, do you think the cops want to arrest anyone just minding their own business. BB keeps bringing you down and ruining your career. And therefore, is the Stupidest Celebrity. ---

Anna Nicole Smith. If you know her, no explanation needed. (She didn’t know who the Palestinians were, though I at least respect the fact that she refused to speak on half of the Israelis when her lawyer asked her to on the basis that she didn’t have a clue what she was talking about- would that that stopped more celebrities.) Joey Lawrence- I saw him on an interview show and he came across as slightly dummer than a bag of hair, but I can’t remember any specifics. ---

Is Pauly Shore a celebrity? I think Whitney’s problem is just character. Birds of a feather… They’ve both made their money and have settled down to a life of partying. Wouldn’t be surprised if they wound up broke but both are probably still earning residuals and other funny money. ---

Pauly Shore’s pretty bright, actually (Just not very funny). Lots of celebrities are absolutely dense in one regard, and surprisingly savvy in others (Barbra Streisand, Alec Baldwin, Sharon Stone; you get the picture). But for “Why in God’s name have I even heard of this moron?” stupidity, my vote goes to Stuttering John. If you’re ever on Celebrity Jeopardy, two celebs you want on your team: David Duchovny, Cheech Two you want on the other team: Gillian Anderson, Chong Trust me. ---

At the moment, Mary Carey, a porno actress. She’s running for gov of California, here are some of her platform ideas: 1. Tax breast implants. From Beverly Hills alone, we should bring in millions in tax revenue. (Note: I am all-natural and I personally discourage the use of implants!) 2. If I’m elected Governor, I will wire the Governor’s Mansion with live web cams in every room. We will create a pay site, and all money collected will go toward reducing the deficit. Californians will get to see their government in action - literally! (Also, we will have people from around the globe helping to pay off our debt, so it doesn’t all fall on the shoulders of Californians.) Well, Avril Lavigne is a little young for any kind of lifetime stupidity award, but she’s certainly a future candidate (assuming her “people” find some unholy way to keep her in the public eye for years to come.) Charlton “Americans are violent because we have a lot of mixed ethnicities” Heston is pretty stupid, but I heard he has alzheimer’s and various other mental problems, so if that’s true maybe it’s not his fault, or at least not run of the mill stupidity. ---

Matthew MacConaughey, while a pleasure to look at, is a complete moron. It is to his credit as an actor that he can pull off a lawyer role. I remember him going into great detail in some interview about how he rigged up his van with a hose so he didn’t have to stop anywhere to go to the bathroom. He’s a real “should be seen and not heard” type. That having been said he really can’t hold a candle to Anna Nicole! ---

At least Mary Carey is two ideas ahead of Ahhnoldt! Carl Everett (baseball star) has some crazy ideas. The only one I can remeber accurately is he doesn’t believe in dinosaurs BECAUSE HE NEVER SAW ONE! :rolleyes: ---

Far as I know she has never been arrested for drugs/alcohol abuse, she hasn’t gone to rehab, hasn’t declared bankruptcy etc. On the other hand she has managed to have #1 songs over the span of nearly 30 years, gotten much critical acclaim, not to mention an Oswcar for her roles in various films and made almost, but not quite as much money as God. You don’t accomplish any of that without a high degree of smarts. Sounds to me like you are just damn jealous. ---

I don’t consider Matthew McConaughey dumb so much as crude. Between the van story, the goat story, and the nude bongo playing - while none are wise choices they are more along the lines of obnoxious and tasteless fratboy type behavior. I read a recent “10 Stupid Questions” segment in _Entertainment Weekly_ with Tara Reid. The title seemed redundant, since all of her answers were stupid but sincere sounding and she didn’t seem to get the joke of the piece. I heard once about Tawny Kitaen injuring herself while trying to take her dog for a walk on its leash. Kitaen was trying to ride her bicycle at the same time. And isn’t Old Dirty Bastard the guy who went to pick up his welfare check in a limosine and invited an MTV camera crew to come along. Which reportedly led to his being arrested for welfare fraud?
