**Nettie** I think you should probably talk to a doctor… Throats oughtn’t hurt that bad. Sounds strep-ish. I also have a dog barf story. In the dot-com boom years, it was popular with many companies to bring your dog to work. So I would bring my Akita, and he would hang out with me all day. One day, I was in a meeting and the head Project Manager walked in. Asked me about Kubla, my dog, and wanted to know if it safe to pet him. I said yes. He walked over and Kubla promptly threw up on his shoes. Kubla was about 100 pounds of cute cuddliness and until he got cancer that may have been the only time he threw up in a decade. The gentleman in question left in something of a huff, and Kubla became the hero of the Engineering team, who hated the guy. I just called the police and reported a domestic disturbance at my neighbor’s. I’m a little afraid that he will now have it out for me, but when I called I was more afraid that he was going to kill his wife. Guy has anger management issues. He was yelling so loud that all of my dogs were up growling and barking. Today also featured me wrestling with the Disability Leave people. Apparently they have 2 “leaves” in the system. One is for the State, and goes until May-ish. The other is not the State? It only goes until the end of this week. I called and asked what was up with all of this, and I still don’t completely understand it. Apparently they want more details on treatment so far to cover the difference between State DI and my normal salary. I think? I have notified my doctor and will have to keep after these other people. I like to eat and sleep indoors. ---

While the SF doc is working on the appeal, and pulling all sorts of strings to find a slot in a clinical trial, assistance from the drug maker, etc., DH will get some radiation treatments so the tumor doesn’t turn into the Eggplant That Ate Chicago. ---

My uncle’s funeral is Friday morning, but I won’t be going. First off, I’d have to take a day off from work, and I haven’t even been there 2 weeks. Secondly, I’d either have to drive up to Mom’s on Thursday night or drive thru part of rush hour on Friday morning because the funeral starts at 10. I’m hoping there’s an in-lieu-of-flowers charity, and I’ll write to both of my cousins. But I shall be conspicuous by my absence. Or not. I expect there to be quite a crowd, since my uncle was well-known in the Baltimore Polish community. It’s in the low 30s this morning -\* brrrrrrr!\* So far, spring pretty much sucks! Both of the banana trees I transplanted outside are freeze-burned. I hope they survive, but I don’t know. Stoopit weather. And it’s only Wednesday!!! \* aaaarrrrrrghhhh!!!\* Yeah, yeah, Happy Wednesday. 😛 ---
