We found out today what a cranial cruciate ligament is. Unfortunately, it’s a fairly expensive thing to fix on one of our dogs. ---

Yep, so many blizzards and storms here in the fall/winter. One day we got two and a half feet of snow actually. Plus also, we started in labor day. However, next year we are starting early (last week of August) which is going to make this year’s summer vacation quite short (ending June 27 and starting August 26 :rolleyes:). But from next year we should be fine. ---

Welcome, **ΔΣ**! Who are you suing and why? We’re nosy and we \*must \*know!! Good morning, all. The day started with a downpour so we may not be working outside. I’m both bummed and relieved… We’ll see how it goes from here. I placed a CL ad for my sis to sell her Beetle - hope it goes fast - she lives on a street with very limited parking and having 2 vehicles is a pain, plus it pisses off the neighbors. I got the afghan repaired last night and \*\*FCD \*\*gave Higgs a much-needed bath. The deep sink in the basement is perfect for that - thank goodness she’s a little doggeh! I just hope it took care of the fleas and ticks - she’s brought at least 3 ticks into the house the last couple of days. _ick ick ick ick ick ick!_ :eek: Anyway, it might be a lazy day. We shall see. It’s been quite a nasty ride these past few days. Turns out my MiL is dying. She has one to three weeks left. She has cancer in her stomach/abdomen and it’s spread to other places. Her kidneys are shutting down due to the lesions that are constricting the tubes that lead to them. She has a myriad of issues, and nothing can be done. She would suffer more and gain nothing. So, she has a DNR, and will be going home on Monday. This is assuming the hospice care can be worked out. She’s 83, so she’s lived a good while, but it doesn’t make it any easier. My husband is taking it hard. He’ll be the only one left because his Dad died some time ago, and his sister just before that at age 27. He has two half sisters and nieces and nephews. These are the children of both his sister who died and and his half sisters. However, he really doesn’t feel a true familial connection to any of them, and is just having a very difficult time. The timing sucks. My daughter is getting married next month. I had to break the news to her last night. I did it last night so I wouldn’t have to tell her today at the shower and mar the day. Man, I’m just tired and want to get off the merry-go-round.
