regarding Charly, gotta agree with Cervaise ( and I’m loathe to do anything else, lest I wind up like Claudia :D). It’s a pretty good flick, worth a rental. Doesn’t beat the book however. I read that book in 7th grade and STILL can’t get some of it out of my head.

I just joined this board today, and it was because of this post in particular.
Never in all my time on the Net surfing through newsgroups, bulletin boards and message boards have I ever seen such a wonderously beautiful and masterfully done flame.
It was eloquent, it was airtight…
It was truely a work of art.
I applaud you muchly and I will be watching through the rest of the boards for more of your beautiful mastery!!

I’m stunned, absolutely stunned. Just saw this for the first time, and I must say this has to be one of the finest works of art I’ve ever read (ranks up there with Joyce’s “A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man”)! Jesus, I was supposed to be cleaning the house and doing the laundry when I stumbled across this. Now the clothes are all wrinkled and the house is still a mess, but, brother, was it worth it! Somebody piss him off again, will ya? I haven’t read anything that good in years.

Jeeeeeeeezus! Just found the OP and am incredibly awed. It’s not as if **Cervaise** needs any more egoboost from us, but I gotta say that was totally inspirational.
Have you considered a career in politics? Now there’s a presidential debate I’d watch with glee.
Can we look for a character named Cervaise to show up as the new WCW champion?

Just another voice to add to the chorus of approval… I don’t normally pass through the Pit, since I am not a fan of strong invective.
I now realise that I am not a fan of _stupid_ invective. To see such a stunning example of _smart_, passionate, articulate invective delivered upon such a whimpering, deserving target is encouraging in the extreme. 🙂

You’ve got a lot of guts to admit to being a telemarketer on this board. Bashing telemarketers has become a sport on this board. And it’s a sport that’s been beat to death.
