I have a feeling this topic will get into a religious debate, but then again, that’s a good thing. The Jews are fighting Moselems, for now the Temple Mount is under Israeli sovereignty with Moslem jurisdiction, so to speak. Basically, the whole Intifada really began when Sharon took a visit, so we can see where some of the major roots to this problem lies. The Temple mount is the number one most holy sight for the Jews and its the third most holy sight for Muslems. The question goes who should get it, Jews, Muslems, Christians ect., and why? ---

Are you saying the Christians should be allowed to build a church there and the Jews should be allowed to build a synagogue or Temple there? That would be sharing, no? ---

So the question turns to what is the “True Faith,” and what about all the other faiths that don’t have anything to do with the Temple Mount are they included? ---

It of course should be shared under an international organization. Some base rules should be established : no further excavations by the Wakf, no destroying structures present, no building new structures. I cannot trust Muslim rule over the Old City – Jordan burnt every synagogue there when it was under their rule from 1948-1967. There was a donkey stand erected on the Western Wall. To this day, there are speeches on Palestinian TV and Radio about how no Jewish Temple ever existed on Temple Mount. Israel has at least kept Temple Mount open to Muslims since it occupied the area in 1967. This is not to say that Israel has a right for sole occupation of the Temple Mount, as of course it should be shared by all those who consider it holy. ---

I think the Japanese should send troops to ensure peace, and the area should be declared an international zone under some organization like the UN. The Japanese are neutral on this dispute, so I think they would be trusted. All people entering would need to pass through some kind of metal detector/X-ray to weed out bombs and guns, all loose rocks should be removed from the area, etc.
