Sometimes I need a balance tube for my centrifuge when I’ve got a weird number of tubes to work with, so I decorated one of each size with various colors and thicknesses of sharpie. Polka dots, horizontal stripes, plaid…
At the hospital lab, we had some regular patients whose names we embellished for fun. For example, Philip Rothington became Sir Philip Q Rothington, Esq whenever we talked about him. Had to be careful when calling results up to the floors, though!
We also played the blood alcohol game, where we’d guess just how drunk they were before getting the results out of the chemistry analyzer. There was one fun ER nurse who enjoyed guessing, and who was *really *good at it.
I work for the same organization as my BF. Sometimes, we kiss in the elevator when it’s just the two of us. Ok, fine, not just kiss…we grope each other…tee hee.
I get a lot of the same people calling all the time, so much that I recognize the numbers on caller ID. My game is to guess why they’re calling before I answer. I’m right a good ninety percent of the time.
