“Gryphon”.
You didn’t specify which end.
“Gryphon”.
You didn’t specify which end.
As has already been stated, deliberately poor communication is seldom “clever”.
I may be missing something here, but isn’t the third ‘gry’ word puggry?
It’s hard to find the original formulation of the question, but some of the ones I’ve heard include the word “common” in them, like this one from the Wikipedia page on it:
“There are three words in the English language that end with ‘gry’. Two of these are angry and hungry. The third word is a very common word, and you use it often. If you have read what I have told you, you will see that I have given you the third word. What is the third word? Think very carefully.”
I believe that the answer is small and insignificant.
Which, I think, just happens to be the definition of “gry”.
What a coincidence.
When I get frustrated and annoyed trying to solve puzzles I step back and realize that compared to most of the world my problems are merely gry and I feel much better.
