The only way this statement makes sense is if you believe that violence and the murdering of innocent civilians is part and parcel of Islam. Don’t you see that someone (never mind that he himself is a Muslim who seems to be very informed) is telling people to be aware of the threat posed by radical Islam. And that that, on it’s face, is just ridiculous. After all, it’s merely a religion of peace, no violent, barbaric, or murderous than any other. And if you detect any facts that conflict with that, well, you just have the wrong facts. ---

But nobody really offered anything else either. We were asked to watch something and give an opinion. His wasn’t even necessary at the time, and for the most part all he’s gotten in return was shitmouthing from people who haven’t even watched it. If it was in GD maybe someone could have offered SOMETHING other than lowbrow insults. I may not be educated enough to offer much in return but maybe something could have been learned. I watched it and I’m baffled by the cracks I’ve seen. Someone even referred to him as anti-“semetic” when nothing I’ve seen would lead me to believe that. If someone could have offered some insight as to WHY the guy’s video is nothing but propaganda. I admitted it seemed over-the-top but I can’t see any errors in the video itself. I saw the Buddhas of Bamyan fall years ago and it stuck with me. I have befriended a woman who had to flee an Islamic country where it was legal for her husband to beat her. I see nothing good about Islamism. I have no problem with Muslims as long as they don’t start forcing people to live by their laws. Maybe we don’t have much to worry about in this country, but I don’t ever want to get to a place where we DO. I don’t want any retaliation either, because if there’s ever a point in this country where Muslims TRY to start pushing acceptance for Islamism, as any acceptance of Shari’a here in this country some fucktard fundie Christian group is going to start blowing up mosques. And the ones they blow up will probably NOT be associated with any terrorist groups. They will be the ones who suffer though. I have a kid in this world and I’m hoping she’ll grow up in a better place, not the pit of evil some people seem to try their best to convince people it is. So like I said, I wish this was in Great Debates. And maybe you’re right. Maybe the OP wanted it here for a reason.
