# The threads that never were- how many OPs have you written but never submitted?

I often think of something while driving, that at the time, sounds like it’d make a good topic. Then I think about it a little more, and I say fuck it. It might be a question that pops into my head that, with a little more thought, I actually know the answer to, or something that otherwise just sounds stupid.

Quite a few, one in particular just last week.  
I started and deleted one a couple times on the History Channel show “The Prophets of Doom”. But:

1. It’s the History Channel.

2. Huge topic, a billion cites needed.

3. I ran out of steam before I got halfway through every time.

Not often…the most recent topic I’ve been kicking around is a good debate and discussion about copyright. But as someone else mentioned, it’s such a hot-button topic that I don’t know that I can a) Express myself and what I mean adequatly enough to defend agains the "you said ‘the’ when you should have said ‘THE’ crowd. b) While the topic of debate is more theoretical in nature I just know there will be a thousand people in there quoting entire sections of copyright law.

I’m still kicking the idea around, so I haven’t given up hope just yet.

Sometimes. Not because they are lackluster, but sometimes I just am not up to wading thru the crap because it touches on somebody’s obsession.
