I know I complain about the heat too much. A little dizzy. A little nauseous. Tired. Slightly headachey. Brain foggy. No end in sight. ---

Much cow and pig has been smoked and I lost a lot of water-weight tending the fire; meat and salad was dinner. Now we are both hiding in one of the two air-conditioned rooms of the house. I feel sorry for those who attended Old Fort Niagara this weekend; I’ve done it in 96+ in the past and it ain’t fun. Makes the smoker and some shade sound like much better planning on my part. ---

**doggio** , maybe I should try to sign Nelson up for the NHL draft. He’s been playing hockey with an ice cube on the kitchen floor. He’s managed two goals (landed in the water dish) with this one. 😃 Like **doggio** said: get your butt to the ER **emily**. I got two things knocked off my to do list today. Supper’s on: Dal, rice, Indian fried cabbage, an ear of sweet corn and naan. Tis yum! ---

**midget** , given you don’t have a/c, medical eval might not be a bad idea. OR is there somewhere cooler you could _easily_ get to? Then not sure if thirst was from being dehydrated or all of the salty movie theater popcorn. Either way, a long nap has me groggy but headachelessish. (is _too_ a word). I’m back. Went downtown for a while and got out of the heat. Now I’m back in this even-hotter-now apartment and I don’t know how I’m going to survive. Maybe I’ll call the hospital and ask them if they have any suggestions. ---
