It’s lovely and cool here–has been most of the weekend. I spent the hottest day digging a trench (don’t ask). It is now filled with river rock and I am going to forage for food and then do NOTHING. It’s also overcast today and may rain later. This is all ok with me, now that the trench is done. After I get back from Iceland (mid June) I have to redig the dry creek bed. :rolleyes: I will spend the day watching more of Star Trek, TOS, season 3. Life is good. ---

Just sampled the watermelon I picked for today- I did good! It’s so yummers. Watermelon and corn on the cob are two things I could eat myself sick over. ---

OK, up and caffeinating. Today I’m going to do a bit of cleaning and later, the Princess and I are going to meet her dad for a couple rounds of miniature golf. No picnic or barbecue today, but it’s just as well - it’s kind of cloudy outside. ---

Howdy Y’all! I’ve been productive today. I mowed. Go me. It’s sorta threatenin’ rain right now, the same as it has the past four days and will continue to do so the rest of the week. Oh and I did some cave defilthyfyin’. That is all the effort needed for the day, I think. Tomorrow starts a new schedule. Still the same hours, six to two-thirty but Tuesday through Saturday with Sunday and Monday off. I can deal. I wanted Sunday off anyways. No biggie to work on Saturday. Long as it’s two days off in a row that’s what counts. I feel a nappy poo comin’ on! Later Y’all! ---

Daughter and I have washed our cars. We’re watching her DVD of The Little Prince. I need to do laundry at some point. It’s still cool here and supposedly we’ll get rain, but I’ll believe it when I see it. I’ve got 2 teensy cucumbers and lots of blossoms on my 'mater and cuke plants. I fed them all today. ::Runs in late to the MMP:: Sorry. Sorry. I have nothing particularly interesting to report except it’s STILL raining. Okay, well, not raining all day like last week but the sun has made a piss poor showing this Memorial Weekend. So I ended up doing a lot of cooking. I made stuffed shells with homemade sauce on Saturday night, and my first crock pot pot roast last night. Tonight will be blue cheese burgers and sweet corn on the cob. The entirety of yesterday was dedicated to cleaning The Den. From the baseboards up, every single part of the 12-by-16-foot space that is My Bedroom has been wiped, scrubbed, dusted, organized, vacuumed, and all my laundry is washed, trash was cleaned up and trashed, some old clothes were goodwilled, etc. I even took the cover off of my giant beanbag chair to wash it. It took about 10 hours total, maybe a hair more, but The Den hasn’t looked this good in a loooooooooooong time! Also, my new furry friend I met online is completely awesome. He could be my long-lost twin or evil clone or something - we have almost everything in common! Well, except he’s gay and I’m not. But we have everything that’s important in common! Almost creepily so - to the point where we can finish each other’s sentences, are lucid dreamers in exactly the same manner, are nearly the same age, read the same authors, like the same music/movies/TV/etc… o.0 ---
