...the "tri-state" area...duh WHICH one?

The term “Michiana” is occasionally used to refer to the area around the Michigan and Indiana border.

duh, it has to be the most important one
Maryland-DC-Virginia (except DC isn’t a state but people still say tri-state area)
colour me confused

Bridgeton, NJ.

I’m thinking the Delaware Bay area could be considered “tri-state”.

Tripler
'Specially since some advertisements on the radio were from PA.

Polycarp - it’s the New York State Capital Region, not Area, although thanks for defending us. It even says so on the signs on I-87 and I-90!

NY, MA and VT are another tri-state area, although that seems to be mainly a convention of local weathermen.

Yet another area that calls itself “the tri-state” area is the area surrounding Huntington, WV, encompassing West Virginia, Ohio, and Kentucky.

Yes, that’s a real tri-state area, since the three main cities (Huntington WV, Ashland KY and Ironton OH) are comparable in size. It’s surprising that it wasn’t mentioned earlier in this zombie thread, but I guess people don’t venture much into industrial Appalachia.

Are there lots of zombies in the Tri-State area?

Probably in all of them. However, I believe that zombies are allowed in GQ if new information is added, as was done by It’s Not Rocket Surgery!.

I’m sure I’ve heard some local radio and TV stations – possibly I’m thinking of Rockford, IL – refer to a “state-line area.”

Most conservative groups would probably object to the term “bi-state.”

NY - VT - MA

where I grew up…

First ist Best!

Is there some record for the oldest zombie? Maybe there should be a contest.

True, although this really had no business in GQ in the first place. I’m going to arbitrarily declare the OP’s non-question as “answered” and shut this zombie down.
