Sixty five years and…eight hours ago, by my count.

I don’t have any leftover fireworks to set off for the occasion, though I _did_ find a lovely animated [nuclear explosions through history](http://www.collegehumor.com/video:1938441) map. Though it’s missing [at least](http://www.google.com/url?q=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2006_North_Korean_nuclear_test&sa=X&ei=uLlATNq3GYz6swP--NGIDA&ved=0CBsQzgQoADAA&usg=AFQjCNF-v8K29vimLA2eFvJC0r2Ii8JSrg) [two](http://www.google.com/url?q=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2009_North_Korean_nuclear_test&sa=X&ei=uLlATNq3GYz6swP--NGIDA&ved=0CBwQzgQoATAA&usg=AFQjCNHALHsvI9FcbECgHiw3MlQNXu5UVg). Possibly [three](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vela_Incident).

Now, who wants some [mushroom cloud](http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Admiral_Blandy_Mushroom_Cloud_Cake.jpg) [cake](http://www.flickr.com/photos/army_arch/3852355494/)?
