I’m so glad you’re back and that you somehow survived all the stress and trauma and found your way to rebirth and happiness. I suspect you won’t need this place as a refuge very much now. The joy of your current life will pull you away pretty effortlessly. Just in case you think you haven’t made a difference around here, I want to share this with you. Several years ago when I had a bad flight and got very anxious about flying, I found an old post of yours about turbulence, and it helped me a great deal. Last winter my daughter and her husband had a terrible flight–many-passengers-vomiting-bad-- and she was sick with trepidation about the next leg of their long trip. I dug up your turbulence post and passed it on, and it helped her, too. Thank you. Just one of the many reasons I’m glad you’re here again. ---

Your posts always were in my head in the voice of a good friend who himself was a commercial passenger pilot. When I had not seen you I figured something was wrong, wished I could help. Silly, no? It’s obviously been a really rough year. Sorry about your wife, I’ve read that losing a spouse like that is almost the worst thing to happen to a person. But I am glad to see another Doper return, Poke around a bit, there are some fun threads going. I like the movie lines thread in Cafe Society. And of course in MPSIMS there’s always the MMP. Next year for 2023 I’ll be running the DeathPool again. **phungi** took it over last year and this year, as for some time I had a hard time keeping up due to my hip. But I’m ready to be the DeathMistress again. Whatever has happened you can vent here. ---
