This thread has resulted in enough responses for me to suggest an approach to include threads you have started that may cross the threshold into the “greatness” the others already posted may have. Here are some I started that have these features: 1. at least 100 Replies 2. not out-and-out games or post-padding exercises 3. not overly personal in nature 4. emphasis on fun [Favorite “Far Side” Memories (MAD, too)](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=192208) [Put a face on a Doper you’ve never seen](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=360055) [Put a face on a Doper you’ve never seen – Round 2](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=414157) [What movie(s) do you wish you had your time back for having seen?](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=412855) [Quaint expressions you heard once or twice but use yourself regularly](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=463125) Using your own criteria for which threads you started that have moved into the Great Threads ranks, why not use this thread as a repository for them? ---
