The Very Stable Genius has now demonstrated that he is also Master of Similes: “It will go away, like things go away.” —Donald J. Trump, August 5, 2020 Ahhh. Truly edifying. I wasn’t so sure what he was getting at after those first four words, but once he illustrated the concept it was a real lightbulb moment. He actually said this twice yesterday. Later in the day he “elaborated” a bit: “It’ll go away like things go away. Absolutely. It’s, uh, no question in my mind, it’ll go away. Frankly, sooner rather than later.” ---

Back to the “what I’d like to do if I were interviewing Trump” fantasy, I’d like to hand him a section of the Declaration of Independence Or Bill of Rights, or some such, and trick him into trying to read it out loud, while the print was displayed on a split screen for readers to follow along during his effort. Or anything from a HS textbook, really. ---
