Coincidentally, I just watched a video of Woody Harrelson talking about a dinner he had with Trump, Melanie and Jessie Ventura in 2002. He said that Trump talked 98% of the time. Melanie was a statue at 0.01%. The rest was split between him and Jessie. At one point Harrelson said it became so tedious that he had to excuse himself and get lit to make through the rest of the evening. ---

Not to mention: who the hell else could they get to speak? McConnell has already said he’s washing his hair that night. The last Republican nominee voted to impeach him. The one before that is, sadly, deceased but hated his guts. The only living Republican ex-prez says he’s a psycho loony. So…Scott Baio? ---

So let me get this straight. The convention was supposed to be live in Charlotte, then when they refused to guarantee a huge turnout because of Covid, they moved it to what, Jacksonville I think, then maybe somewhere in Texas, at this point I forget really, before finally giving up and acknowledging reality, leaving less than a month to plan for the now virtual convention, but this orange idiot keeps changing things constantly in response to what’s on whichever TV is within his slack-jawed gaze, to the point where it’s (glances at the clock)… about 80 hours before the thing actually has to kick off and they still don’t know who all’s talking or what fucking building they’re going to be in because it has to be virtual but live, remote but in-person, and it has to be a great TV event like what the Democrats did but totally 100% better than that, and the whole blasted shebang is getting slapped together at the last minute by… Jared? Really? Gonna have to check the popcorn supply in the pantry. Oh, and tequila. Can’t run out of that. ---
