To have any chance to win (a fair election, that is), he probably needs to be in the mid-40s. I base that on the fact that he squeaked by with an electoral college victory despite losing the popular vote. That could still happen, but he probably needs at least 45%, and given the intensity of the opposition this time around, he might need even more than that. ---

There’s also no mention of Mike Pence. Don’t election campaigns usually mention the running mate, just out of politeness? ---

Not so much - he’ll be on (some of) the lawn signs and bumper stickers, but the VP candidate really doesn’t get mentioned much. Disasters such as Palin being exceptions, of course. ---

“Remora” Mike Pence" has a nice ring to it, doesn’t it? “Hey, has anyone heard from Remora Mike’s committee lately?” See? It just flows right off the tongue. ---

Unfortunately, it does give the implication that Trump is a shark, rather than a sponge. But yeah, “Decorator Crab Pence” doesn’t have the same ring. ---

There are those little fish that swim inside the mouth of a larger fish and do a thorough cleaning but I don’t think Pence has done that. Yet. ---

Clownfish are not venomous.
