We did that when I moved my mom from her tiny apartment in California to bring her to assisted living in Texas. I packed what I could, then we let the neighbors take whatever they wanted. Then I had a company called 1-800-GOTJUNK clear out the rest (we were long gone by then). I could vote for this if Donnie were moving to assisted living. He probably needs a Memory Care Unit. The rest of us need a Forgetting Care Unit… ---

Who’s gonna tell him? The same people who are afraid to tell him he lost the election? It does make you wonder… if guys in official-ish looking jumpsuits started carrying out furniture, paintings, sculptures, dishes, and loading them into official-ish trucks, **would** anyone stop them? Would anyone run up and shout, “NO! NO! You can’t take those things!!” Donnie can peddle them on his new news/shopping/talk/variety TV network. Give QVC a run for their money! And he will be the on-air spokesthing! He can play the air accordion ('cause he’s so good at it!) and hawk the goods: _“Here’s a picture of one of our past presidents… don’t know which one, but does it matter?? Hang him anywhere in your home! If someone asks who it is, just say ‘President Adams.’ There were a few of those. No one will ever know!”_ ---

I can’t seem to get to it using a browser, but my daughter shared an Apple News article to the effect that Trump is seriously contemplating a rally around the time of the inauguration (perhaps competing with the inauguration itself). He insists that the networks will focus on him, because Joe Biden is “boring.” All about the ratings, isn’t it, Donnie? In any case, I, for one, welcome our new boring overlords. ---

The inauguration will be under COVID restrictions, whereas Trump doesn’t give a shit. So unfortunately a Trump rally would probably have bigger crowds. ---

That would surprise me for two reasons: 1—by January 20 a lot of Trump fans will have been either killed or too sickened by COVID-19 to travel to a rally, and 2—Trump will be charging a hefty admission price to his rally, and a lot of the fans still healthy enough to attend will have trouble coming up with the price of the tickets. My guess is that to get a camera-friendly impression of ‘filled to capacity,’ Trump will have to rent a fairly small venue. I’d suggest the smaller banquet room at the Broken Bow, Nebraska Elks Club, AKA Lodge 1688. It’s about 15’ by 25’. Donny should be able to make it look full, by use of careful camera angles.
