There’s a march/rally/COVID-orgy/hog-wallow going on right [now in Louisiana](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DUBMrpLNQCk), which appeared on my Youtube home screen and which I had to tune into out of morbid curiosity. Right at the moment I dropped in, a preacher was delivering a pompous invocation of “the mighty Jesus” and praying that “the seed will grow not just a tree but an orchard”, and in his sermon he memorialized someone named Luke. I didn’t know what that was about, but then the next speaker, again, mentioned how sad everyone was that this Luke had passed away, and then mentioned how he was “a real fighter for his constituents in Congress” and then it hit me, THEY’RE TALKING ABOUT THE FUCKING CONGRESSMAN-ELECT WHO JUST DIED OF COVID, Luke Letlow… You motherfuckers, YOU killed him! YOU killed him! And HE was happy to help you kill him! You all were, and are, willing participants in this vile orgy of death and disease…you MOTHERFUCKERS! I was…God, I was so pissed off, so sickened, I felt a wave of disgust pass over me like nothing I’ve ever experienced before. I could try to write and write all night long about how utterly demoralized, gutted, baffled, and angry I am about the existence of this situation, but it still wouldn’t even come close to expressing how I actually feel. ---
