You know, the funny thing is, done right, this could actually be a cool thing. If you’ve been to Denver, you know about the bear statues. Come up with a basic plinth and dimensions (say the statues are ~6 tall with the plinth adding 2 feet). Then, as they’re built (each by different artist with donated funding please - MAYBE a government matching program), place them in locations all over DC and the surrounding area. Like on street corners or on sidewalks. Maybe a few in existing parks. Make it a walking tour thing. THAT could be cool. ---

I think its just part of Trump trying to put together a legacy. Its the same thing as the wall and the Space Force. Some big honking thing that will be impossible to ignore and will have a plaque somewhere saying that Donald J Trump built this, look upon his works ye mighty and despair. ---

It could be good, done that way. ---

Boyertown, PA, has bear statues all over the place as part of something called Bear Fever. There was something like that in San Antonio a few years ago called “Cow Parade.” It was decorated cows made of fiberglass. These are miniatures. The originals were life-size.
