Not Trumpian per se, but Hakeem Jefferies used the phrase “Crackpot Caucus” to describe his republican colleagues. I love that, and hope it sticks. ---

We all know that Republicans are the rightful leaders, and so criticizing them is treason, while if a Democrat has unfairly taken over the office, then it is the responsibility of all right thinking Americans to point all flaws they perceive, real _and_ imagined. ---

But they can. Yahoo News may not be Reuters, but they’re not you or me cruising the web with nothing better to do, either. They have finite staff, finite funds and finite time to publish content. It’s high time they deployed those finite resources to disseminating content that doesn’t portray the Trumps as just a bunch of pasty Kardashians whose every utterance is news. I agree with you, Cal, there is no way anyone associated with him (and having half or even a quarter of a brain) would let him testify under oath in that situation. However…IF he truly does believe what he has been fed about how the election was ‘stole’ from him, and given that he is now off the ‘big screen’ that he loves so much and not getting the attention paid to him (that is his due, in his opinion), the temptation to appear and testify, to get back on the stage and in front of the adoring masses again, has got to be damn near killing him. I mean, the ratings would be through the roof! Every channel would cover it LIVE!! It’s like a Trump Nirvana. We’ll see what transpires. IMHO as always. YMMV ---

And anyway, all he has to do is testify that he did nothing wrong, that he’s the greatest, most beloved, most accomplished president who ever lived, 'cause in his world that is the truth.
