And even if the US goes full Soviet regime, there will people who are proud of how awesome we are and how awesome the president is. Some may even be in my family. That makes me both sad and angry. ---

Here’s a summary of Chris Wallace’s talk with President Stable Genius, which saved me from having to watch the actual interview (though I’m an occasional masochist, so I still might). It’s amazing. If he could pivot just a little, he could probably get the benefit of the doubt from at least some of the voters he’s lost or in danger of losing. If he could just wear a folded bandana like an outlaw, if he’d merely recommend that people wear masks, and if he’d just stay out of CDC’s way, he’d probably make himself much less vulnerable. Instead he triples down. And by doing so, he encourages Republican Trump wannabes to do the same. ---

Right, well that’s always been his MO. Most of the media are part this dog-and-pony show. They just say that he said something “controversial” and then run after the next distraction, instead of immediately calling “bullshit” and digging deeper into the more corrupt things–(though thankfully some have done that). ---

I’m not going to search but a few months ago (early covid) he also promised a super duper plan after the election. And going way back pre-2016 election, he promised a brilliant plan to defeat ISIS which turned out to be “no plan”. He, probably for the first time, admitted he didn’t have a plan and would let the actual generals do what they were doing. Exactly what Obama pursued but now **that** was his idea for “reasons”. ---
