It’s about the Treasury Department Inspector General opening an investigation into whether the Suspicious Activity Reports that Avenatti has were leaked from Treasury. I’m sure they’re asking him where he got the information, but that’s a far cry from “going after” him. ---

Gotta go after somebody. That’s not _kosher_, somebody broke a law, and has to account for it. Be that as it may, the facts are what they are, and we are better for having them. If whomsoever did this did it for money or fame, fuck 'em. if they were motivated by patriotism, I am inclined to be lenient. Send Barry Obama over to give them a firm scolding. Or maybe Michelle. Yeah, Michelle. ---

Trump was braying [his default mode of expression] today that yesterday was “a great day for Republicans” – apparently it’s true…a Republican won every Republican primary. But more specifically: it was a great day because every one he was rooting for won. Kudos, Donnie…you sure know how to pick 'em. ---

I don’t know about that. He looks like the best he can do these days is text in his score. And I wouldn’t be surprised if he clocked in at 320#. He looks like he’s gained 50-60# since the election. ---

He’s also been working on a prison reform bill. I haven’t really been following that story, but there was some news about it in the past couple of days. At a glance, the current version of the bill appears to have some bipartisan support. If he can get a bipartisan prison reform bill passed (and it actually, you know, reforms our prisons for the better), I’ll be among the first to applaud him. Wait, wait, let me try again …) The obvious spin is that the military is a volunteer army, rather than a draft army. The ostensible reason that people sign up for military duty is to serve and protect their country, and they are willing to go to battle and even die for that. The actual reason that most people sign up for the military is because it is the only way they will be able to afford college. So, making it harder for the families of people who are not in the military to get a job encourages more people to “volunteer”. ---
