As I recall, there were numerous troublesome signs, but GeeDubya brushed them aside by pointing out that the real estate market was smoking hot, and everybody was making money! ---

South Korea’s center-left has been skeptical of its military exercises with the United States for some time. But I do wonder what European and NATO allies must be thinking right now. If Trump were to meet with Russia’s Putin, and if Putin made a similar offer of deescalation in favor of reducing its military cooperation with European and NATO allies, would Trump take it? ---
