Regardless of what you think of the travel ban policy (I haven’t studied it in detail but it’s certainly one of the last on a long list of Trump policies I’d complain about), it would have been wrong, and disturbing, for the SCOTUS to block it based on Trump campaign statements if it was not prima facie unconstitutional in terms of how it was actually constructed. My understanding is that the lower courts were going with a “well, you may have belatedly constructed it to pass legal scrutiny, but we know what you were REALLy trying to do” and I just don’t think the courts should operate that way. ---

Emin Agalarov, the Russian pop star whose mega-millionaire father has multiple shady ties to Trump and Trump companies, has a new video out including doubles of Trump, Ivanka, Stormy Daniels, Hillary Clinton, and Mark Zuckerberg all passing around secret documents, drinking together, playing poker, and Agalarov and Trump cavorting with bikini models in a hotel room. For some reason, it isn’t listed in the YouTube indexes. You have to know the address to find it.
