I’ve been hesitant to celebrate the Pruitt resignation too much. The worst thing that Donald could do now is to fire Sessions (hooray) and replace him with…Scott Pruitt! And if there is a terrible result to be manufactured, then our guy Trump is just the man for the job. ---

People who actually have joined the armed forces of the country and are defending the place–and remember so many of those condemning these people won’t even consider joining at all (“bone spurs”)–are being treated as though they are invaders, die-hard criminals, and your basic pests (“Infest” ring a bell?). The bit about security risks is misstated. One’s not “labeled a security risk” until the security clearance application is processed and approved or disapproved. There are a number of factors which may disqualify someone from being granted a clearance. ---
