And the minus a few days refers to an unborn baby who would have counted as a victim if he’d been killed in an accident, a robbery or domestic violence but which PSOE doesn’t consider counts as its death was the result of political terrorism and not of some more modest ways of dying. ETA: we’re always looking for band names. ---

The Senate Republicans are broadcasting that Trump is free to fire Sessions after the Midterms. I have no clear hypothesis on their reasoning. ---

If Trump fires Sessions _before_ the midterms, it’ll look bad. Maybe they figure he could then try to take his old seat back from Doug Jones in 2020 and that would be better than taking a bunch of insults all the time. They do seem to be offering tepid support though. ---
