I think this explains why Manafort is said to have been asking for federal protection for his family as a condition of his plea bargain. It’s not the incompetent Cheeto-in-Chief that he’s worried about… ---

They live in a world in which they want themselves and ‘their kind’ to have the power. It really doesn’t matter how they get that power, because they’re preordained to have it, and the ends will justify the means. Trump would be nothing without the people who have long held this view of America, and there tens of millions of them. ---

According to Trump, the Democrats “want to raid Medicare to pay for socialism.” What does this even mean? I wanted to start a GD thread (“Do the Democrats want to raid Medicare to pay for socialism ?”) but was too timid, so I just bumped another Medicare thread. I learned this from Bill Maher.
