At the time, it was a very bad idea because it alerts our enemies that our rear guard contingent will grow ever more vulnerable as we withdraw. That was then, but its different now. ---

FTR that was supposed to ask if this schmuck can get any dumber, but it might have asked, “Can you decorate trees in dumplings?” The answer to that is no, you use donuts. ---
